Curtis Granderson Traded To Yankees

Sorry I’m a little late on this post, I was busy with some other things. In case you haven’t heard, Curtis Granderson was traded to the Yankees today in a three team deal between the Yanks, Tigers, and D-backs. The Tigers got Max Scherzer, Austin Jackson, Daniel Schlereth amd Phil Coke. The Yankees obviosly got Granderson, and the D-backs got Edwin Jackson and Ian Kennedy.

The Tigers got an absolute hall for Granderson, while the D-backs really got burned giving up Scherzer, but Edwin Jackson should be a solid starter for them.

  1. Granderson could have a monster year at new Yankee Stadium, and the Tigers save money and get some good young players.

But the D-backs? I don’t get it. They’re getting a good, if somewhat expensive pitcher in Jackson and a mediocre prospect in Kennedy. It doesn’t seem like a worthwhile return for what they gave up.
