Greinke Wins Cy Young

The 2009 AL Cy Young Award Winner was announced today and Kansas City Royal Zack Greinke was the winner. Zack has had a roller-coster career so far. He was at one point a top prospect for the Royals, but when he was called up, he struggled and was soon labeled a “bust.” He dealt with anxiety issues and had trouble throwing the ball. Alot of people had given up hope for Zack, but 2009 was a different story. Greinke started the season as the most dominant pitcher in the game and it carried through into the All-Star break. He had a great season and rightfully deserved the Cy Young Award.

much like the ROYs, Zack’s best rookie cards are selling for extremly high prices. his best rookie, is his 2003 Bowman auto. His 2002 Bowman sells for well too. If your interested in some cheaper options, Zack has several Just Minors cards and his 2006 prospect card from Topps of him and Jimmy Gobble.
